Palm Harbor created Discovery Homes in 2003 to meet the growing demand for modular housing. Their facility located in Tempe Arizona delivers off-frame or custom modular homes to southern California only. According to Mike Young, Marketing Director they can deliver as far as Bakersfield California.
Palm Harbor’s, facility located in Millersburg California only produces HUD-code manufactured homes. “The Millersburg plant is in the process of getting certified to start delivering modular homes to northern California,” Mike did not indicate when that would be but probably sometime in 2007.
