Additional Resources

Connecticut has adopted mandatory, statewide codes (see below). Connecticut's state codes cannot be amended locally. Copies of the Connecticut Supplements to the State Building Code and State Fire Code are available through the Commission on Official Legal Publications, (860) 741-3027, Phone; (860) 745-2178, Fax.
• The International Code Council has agreed to publish Connecticut Specific Editions of the 2003 International and Residential Codes that incorporate the language of the Connecticut Supplement into the base document. This eliminates the need for concurrent use of the Connecticut Supplement for these two codes. Available from: International Code Council, Inc., 4051 West Flossmoor Road, Country Club Hills, IL 60478-5795; Telephone: (888) 422-7233; www.iccsafe.org
• Connecticut's Division of Fire, Emergency & Building Services provides some code interpretations online.

Code Alert: 2008 Amendments to the 2005 State Building Code and State Fire Code will be forthcoming in the 3rd quarter of 2008..
