Choosing A Modular Home Manufacturer
If you have purchased some modular homes, then you are going to need to select a manufacturer to do the building work. While many modular home manufacturers are located on the East Coast, most of them will ship the modular homes that they build to other selected places. Therefore, before you choose which manufacturer to work with, you must consult with them to ensure that they are willing to ship your home to the area that you wish to live in.
Once you have chosen a manufacturer you will be ready to start laying out your modular home's floor plan. It is only after you have made these decisions that you will sign the initial contract. You can then rest assured that your manufacturer's professional staff will oversee the plans as the factory assembles your home. This will only take a couple of days to do. Your home will then be shipped to your lot on the back of a flat bed truck. Since your foundation will be preset, all it will require now is for a crane to lift your home into place so that it can be fastened together.
When your new modular home finally reaches the lot of your choosing, all that will be left to do is some minor plumbing and electrical work. All things considered though, you will have a new modular home to live in within 3 months. This is a much shorter time frame than the 6 to 12 months that it requires to have a traditional home built.
